RCB Bengaluru beat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in a thriller encounter at Wankhede Stadium during IPL 2026.
Opening the batting, RCB set a challenging total of 240/4, thanks to a scintillating 53 from skipper Rajat Patidar off just 20 balls. Virat Kohli made a valuable contribution of 50 runs, while Phil Salt played an aggressive innings of 78, helping RCB get off to a flier.
In reply, MI started strongly, but soon struggled against some good bowling. Suryakumar Yadav made 33, and Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs, but Sherfane Rutherford’s brilliant innings of 71 kept MI in contention before they could only make it to 222/5.
Bowling wise, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya were impressive for RCB.
This match saw RCB prove their batting prowess, whereas MI failed yet again in chasing a difficult target.
