The hybrid cars scene in India looks set to see some significant action over the next year, with some of the key auto manufacturers introducing some exciting hybrid and plug-in hybrid models soon.
While fuel prices continue to soar, and charging stations pose challenges to consumers, hybrid vehicles seem to present a viable solution for many buyers who cannot afford higher fuel costs and do not have easy access to the required infrastructure.
Car companies such as Renault, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, BYD, and JSW Group will roll out some electrified models of vehicles in the near future.
Some of the noteworthy hybrids that are being developed by leading automakers include the hybrid variants of the Renault Duster and Renault Bigster. Additionally, Nissan is said to unveil its latest mid-size hybrid SUV. Meanwhile, the plug-in hybrid model called the BYD Sealion 6 is being developed, which offers up to 1,200 km driving range.
Some hybrid models of Hyundai and Kia have also been announced, including SUVs and MPVs.
