Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri, who is a familiar face of various TV serials and Movies died in Mumbai at the age of 62. News agency IANS Reported that, Actress Rita Bhaduri was being treated at Mumbai’s Sujay Hospital in Vile Parle for a kidney ailment. Her last rites will be held on Tuesday, noon.
The actor Shishir Sharma Posted a blog in which he wrote:
“We deeply regret to inform you that Actress Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East. Extremely sad. Lost a wonderful human being… a mother to many of us… Will miss you Ma,”
About Rita Bhaduri Career:
Actress Rita Bhaduri, begans her career in the late Sixties, with the role in the ongoing TV show “Nimki Mukhiya” and performing a marvellous role of Grand mother. She initially appeared as supporting actress in various Bollywood films during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.Ms Rita Bhaduri received a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress nomination for her performance in 1995 film “Raja”. She also performed a supportive role in the film “Julie”. She also featured in movies like “Ghar Ho Toh Aisa”,” Anth”, “Virasat” and “ Kya Kehna” Some last few appearances in Bollywood industry were in, 2003 “Main Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon” ,”2002 Dil Vil Pyar Vyar”,”2002 Mulaqaat” ,”2000 Kya Kehna” .
Actress Rita Bhaduri, an alumnus of FTII where she studied with actress Zarina Wahab, had also featured some famous TV serials including “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai”,” Amanat” and ” Kumkum”.
