Diljit Dosanjh’s much-awaited biographical drama Satluj has finally been released on OTT, nearly three years after facing certification hurdles. Directed by Honey Trehan, the film premiered globally on July 3 in its uncut version.
Inspired by true events, Satluj stars Diljit as renowned human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who fought to expose thousands of alleged enforced disappearances during Punjab’s insurgency era. The film also features Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky in pivotal roles.
The film has had a long journey before its release. It was originally titled Ghallughara, later renamed Punjab ’95, before finally releasing as Satluj.
Now streaming on ZEE5 Global, the hard-hitting drama brings Khalra’s courageous fight for truth and justice to audiences worldwide after years of delays.
