Nicholas Jerry Jonas born on 16th September,1992 is an American Singer, Songwriter, Actor and Record Producer is best known as one-third of “Jonas Brothers”an American pop rock band.
His Career:
In 2002,When he was 10, He made his first debut on Broadway at seven and penned down a song ‘Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)’ with his father. The song got noticed by ‘Columbia Records’ and that led him to release his self-titled debut album as a solo artist in 2004,at the age of 12, with his brothers Kevin and Joe co-writing a few songs. This eventually give on to the formation of their band, the Jonas Brothers. The brothers released one album with Columbia, but were dropped soon after.
In 2006, The group released their debut studio album “Its’s About Time” using Columbia label,the album failed to achieve commercial success. In 2007,After signing with Hollywood Records,they released their self-titled second studio album that made their breakthrough record. During this time, the band became prominent figures on the Disney Channel. They sold more than 17 million albums worldwide earning huge fame and recognition.
After that, they starred in two “Disney Channel Original Movie”,Camp Rock in 2008 and its sequel Camp Rock 2:The Final Jam in 2010 as well as two of their own series, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream(2008-2010) and Jonas(2009-2010).
That same year, Nick began to branch out when he went on his first solo tour with his side project, “The Administration”. In October 2013, because of their personal reasons,the band “Jonas brothers” announced their disbandment.
After the group’s disbandment, Jonas returned to his solo career and signing with Island Records,he gave hit albums like “Nick Jonas” and ‘Last Year Was Complicated”.It helped him to create a new public image and earning him the title of Sex Symbol.
Apart from singing,In 2013 he filmed a starring role in the straight-to-DVD film Careful What You Wish For(2016.In 2017,he acted in a film named Jumanji:Welcome to the Jungle(2017).
