Madhuri completed her schooling from Divine Child High School, Mumbai and after that she did a degree in Microbiology from Parle College, Mumbai.

Madhuri Dixit got married to Dr. Shriram Nene, a cardiovascular surgeon based in the United States, on October 17, 1999. The wedding took place in Los Angeles, California, and was a private ceremony attended by close friends and family. She gave birth to two sons, Arin and Raayan, in 2003 and 2005, respectively. In 2006, Madhuri and her family moved back to India.
