Tiger Shroff Bets Big After String of Flops

Mumbai, Sept 5: Tiger Shroff is back on the big screen with Baaghi 4, the latest installment of his popular action franchise that began in 2016. Featuring Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, and Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu in key roles, the film hit theatres on Friday and has already sparked buzz for its raw action and gritty storytelling.

A Certificate and Heavy Cuts

Unlike the earlier parts, Baaghi 4 has been given an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for its high-octane violence. According to industry sources, the makers were asked to implement 23 cuts to secure approval. Interestingly, after receiving the certificate, the team voluntarily opted for additional edits, trimming the film’s runtime from 2 hours 43 minutes to 2 hours 37 minutes.

Context: A Crucial Film for Tiger Shroff

For Tiger Shroff, Baaghi 4 is more than just another release—it’s a test of his star power. Since 2020’s Baaghi 3, the actor has struggled to deliver a box office hit. His recent films including Heropanti 2, Ganapath – A Hero Is Born, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan failed to impress audiences and critics alike.

With Baaghi 4, Shroff hopes to reclaim his position as Bollywood’s action poster boy. The film’s release also comes closely after the underwhelming performance of War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR, which despite its star power, fell short of expectations at the ticket counters.

Early Response

Initial reactions suggest that fans of the franchise are praising the movie’s action sequences and “power-packed” presentation. Trade analysts are keeping a close eye on its opening weekend collections, which will decide if Baaghi 4 can revive Tiger Shroff’s career graph.
