Why Does Anupamaa Desire to Participate in the Dance Competition?
In recent episodes, we come to know that Anupamaa wishes to earn money for a lady called Bharti, as she requires immediate surgery. The surgery is costly, and Anupamaa sees taking part in a dance competition as her only hope to earn the prize money and assist Bharti.
But to participate in the competition, Anupamaa will need to assemble a dance group, which is turning out to be a huge task.
New Beginnings and New Struggles
On moving into a Mumbai chawl (working-class residential complex), Anupamaa befriends Manohar, a brilliant dancer who resides there. She requests him to persuade the women in the chawl to join her dance team. Initially, he declines. However, when he comes to know about the true reason for her request, he offers to assist her and begins training her. Even then, everything does not go as planned.

Anupamaa is confident that the women from the chawl will participate in the competition with her. However, their families are against it. Even though they want to assist Anupamaa, these women are torn between domestic commitments and family disapproval. Only time will tell if Anupamaa is able to win them over and assemble her team on time.
Drama at the Shah House: Mahi vs Rahi
Meanwhile, at the Shah residence, there’s a confrontation between Mahi and Rahi, two characters who have an argument concerning Anupamaa. Anupamaa is accused by Mahi of never accepting her as a biological daughter. But Rahi reminds her of how Anupamaa welcomed Mahi even when her own parents had left her behind. This emotional confrontation generates more drama for the current plot.
