Famous playback singer Alka Yagnik has talked about her health issues following the conferment of Padma Bhushan upon her by President Droupadi Murmu.
Posting on the social networking platform, Alka has opened up about how she has been away from the public eye for two years because of her health problems. “A difficult journey,” Alka said and expressed her gratitude to her fans for loving her, praying for her and supporting her through the tough times.
She stated that it was an emotional experience for her and made her realize the strength she received from her fans. Moreover, the singer has said that the honor is not just hers alone, but belongs to millions of her listeners who love her songs and keep listening to them.
The singer had earlier disclosed that she suffered from a rare hearing problem in 2024. Alka is slowly making a comeback into public life.
