Rakhi Sawant Biography, She debuted on a famous show called Bigg Boss season-1 as a contestant. It is a very popular Indian reality show. She was also a finalist in the Bigg Boss-14 in 2020. She started her career in 1997. Sawant used to get smaller roles in the films at the beginning. She appeared in her first film called Agnichakra under the banner of Ruhi Sawant. | Controversies | • In 2005, she had a lip-lock with her co-star Kainaaz Pervez at the premiere of the film ‘Khamoshh…Khauff Ki Raat.’
• In 2006, Mika Singh forcefully kissed her at his 35th birthday party, after which, she filed a molestation case against him. • In 2008, she slapped her then-boyfriend Abhishek Awasthi in public. It all happened on Valentine’s Day, when Abhishek wanted to reconcile after calling her by dirty names. • In November 2010, an F.I.R. was filed against her and 4 others in connection with the death of a Dalit youth named Laksham Prasad of Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh; as he was embarrassed and called an “impotent” at her reality show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ in October 2010. • On 9 July 2016, a Ludhiana-based advocate Narinder Adiya filed a complaint against her for hurting the sentiments of the Valmiki • In 2016, she was invited by some Indians in Illinois, USA. She ignited a controversy after she arrived at the event; wearing a dress with the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image imprinted on it, and that too in an objectionable way. • In 2018, during the #MeToo Movement, when Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment, Rakhi called for a press meeting where she not only praised Patekar, but also slammed Tanushree by calling her a drug addict, and a liar, and called it a mere publicity stunt. She also accused Tanushree of raping her not once, but multiple times. For her allegation, Tanushree sued her for ₹10 crore to which Rakhi threatened her with a countersuit of ₹50 crore. An FIR was filed against Rakhi Sawant in October 2023 by Tanushree Dutta who accused her of causing mental trauma due the 2018 Me Too case. The FIR was filed at the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai. Tanushree later addressed the matter in an interview and said, I have come here to file an FIR against Rakhi Sawant for the psychological trauma that she caused in 2018 during the Me Too Movement. There are many penal codes added to the FIR based on multiple reasons.” • On 22 August 2023, Rajshree More, Rakhi’s best friend, lodged a police complaint against her for defaming and threatening her.
