Farida Udhas Early Life & Marriage
“Farida Udhas, born around May 22, 1954, in Mumbai, India, hails from a Parsi family. Her father, a retired police officer, raised her. Her path crossed with Pankaj Udhas when he was her neighbor in Mumbai. Their acquaintance blossomed into love, leading them to decide to tie the knot.”
However, their families disapproved of their inter-religious union. Farida’s father, in particular, vehemently opposed it and withheld his consent. He went as far as threatening to disown her if she married Pankaj. Despite the obstacles, Farida remained resolute in her decision to marry Pankaj, whom she loved dearly. She eventually convinced her father to meet Pankaj. After much persuasion, her father reluctantly agreed to the meeting and said.
“Farida and Pankaj were married on February 11, 1982, in a modest ceremony. Their early years together were fraught with challenges and difficulties, as Pankaj endeavored to establish himself in the music industry. Farida stood by him through thick and thin, offering both financial and emotional support, and urging him to pursue his dreams.”
Farida Udhas Children
Farida and Pankaj were blessed with 2 daughters, Nayaab Udhas and Reva Udhas. . Nayaab was born in 1983 and Reva in 1986. Farida devoted herself to raising her daughters and taking care of her family.
