One of the security escort cars belonging to Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar was involved in an accident in Mumbai when he and wife Twinkle Khanna are said to have been returning home from the airport. There are reports that Akshay Kumar was not in the escort car when the incident happened.
The tragic incident occurred as the unknown car collided with the auto-rickshaw from the rear, causing it to move on to the pathway of the escort car. As a result of the collision, the security car, Toyota Innova Crysta, turned on one side. Footage captured from the site demonstrated the security car, which had turned on one side, had an auto-rickshaw stranded beneath it.
The traffic police and emergency services were quick to react and made the road clear in a few hours. Luckily, there were no reports of any critical injuries, and actor Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna, who were in a different car earlier, returned home safely. The police are probing this matter.
