The winner of Portugal’s match against Turkey in Porto will face either Italy or North Macedonia in the Path C final on March 29, with one of the remaining three European slots at the World Cup in Qatar up for grabs.

Portugal, who won the Euros in 2016 and the Nations League in 2019, was eliminated from the World Cup playoffs after losing their last group stage qualifier against Serbia in November, surrendering in the closing minutes.

15th Min: The hosts have taken the lead after dominating the early stages. On the outside of the box, Ronaldo feeds Silva, who smashes a shot against the post, but Otavio is still alive to steer in the rebound.

42nd Min: Otavio sends up a cross to the far post, and Liverpool’s Jota pulls away to put the hosts 2-0 up.

66th Min: Under’s ball feeds Burak Yilmaz, who shoots past Costa after some lovely movement on the edge of the box creates an overload.   

90+4th Min: As Leao pokes through to Nunes, the substitutes unite to seal the deal for Santos’ hosts.
