Delhi lockdown: Lockdown has been in place in Delhi since April 20. But on April 22, in Delhi, where there was a 36% positivity rate, on May 27, it came down to 1.53%. There will be a meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority at 11.30 am on Friday. In this important meeting, all the top officials including Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Secretary will be present. According to sources, there may be a discussion of opening a lockdown in the meeting. Also, the latest status and vaccination of Corona will be discussed.

On Wednesday 26 May, on the question of opening the lockdown, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that ‘the lockdown cannot be extended for an unlimited time. People’s economic activities are coming to an end. People’s businesses are being shut down. In the coming days, we will see how much lockdown will be opened and how to open it. But if it is combined with vaccination, then it does not know how many days it will take in vaccination.

Last week, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, while announcing the extension of the lockdown for 1 week, said that “If the cases of infection continue to decrease in the same way, then the process of opening the lockdown can be started from next week i.e. 31 May”.
