The trailer for “Bloody Daddy” was unveiled on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Jio Studios’ event, where the production company announced its slate of over 100 films and web series. Fans can catch the movie on June 9, 2023, on Jio Cinema. However, the platform for the film’s release is yet to be revealed.
Cast and Crew
The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, known for his work in “Tiger Zinda Hai,” “Sultan,” and “Bharat.” The star-studded cast includes Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, and Vivan Bhatena. The movie is jointly produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, Sunir Kheterpal, Gaurav Bose, Himanshu Kishan Mehra, and Ali Abbas Zafar, under the banners of Jio Studios, AAZ Films, and Offside Entertainment.

“Bloody Daddy” is an official adaptation of the 2011 French film, “Nuit Blanche,” which was earlier adapted in 2005 as “Thoongaa Vanam,” starring Kamal Haasan. The movie’s first look features Shahid in an intense action avatar, with bloodstains on his shirt collar and an injury mark on his nose.

Shahid expressed his excitement about working in an action film with Ali, who understood the genre well. However, he mentioned that such films create a dilemma for the big screen when made for OTT, and they need to find a solution. Shahid’s last OTT release was the web series “Farzi,” which marked the digital debut of both Shahid and Vijay Sethupathi and streamed exclusively on Prime Video.
