Sami Zayn, born Rami Sebei on July 12, 1984, hails from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He comes from a Syrian background, with both his parents being immigrants from Syria. Growing up in the Laval suburb of Montreal, Zayn developed a passion for wrestling from an early age.

He attended College Montmorency in Laval for high school, where he excelled as a soccer player. Later, Zayn pursued higher education at Concordia University in Montreal, focusing on international relations.

At the age of 18, fueled by his love for wrestling, Zayn embarked on training under the tutelage of Jacques Rougeau, a former WWE wrestler.
