Prashant Bhushan is a public awareness lawyer in the Supreme Court of India. He was a supporter of the party of the India against Corruption movement known as Team Anna which supported Anna Hazare’s campaign for the execution of the Jan Lokpal Bill.

He was Born on 15 October 1956. He is a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of India. Prashant Bhushan received his law degree from Allahabad. He is the son of India’s former law minister Shanti Bhushan. He done his Education from St.Joseph’s College Prayagraj, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Princeton University, University of Allahabad. Prashant Bhushan is married to Deepa Bhushan, a former lawyer. The couple has three sons. The family lives in Shanti Bhushan’s house in Noida.
In 1990, he and his father formed the Committee on Judicial Accountability (CJA) to fight corruption in the judiciary.

First, the lawyer wrote a one-sentence tweet opining about the Indian Supreme Court’s role in eroding freedoms in the world’s largest democracy. Two days later, he tweeted a photo of the court’s chief justice with a Harley-Davidson owned by a political ally of the country’s powerful prime minister.
On Monday, the man behind the tweets, Prashant Bhushan, one of India’s most noticeable public interest lawyers, will face a choice: apologize for the tweets, which the court found insulting, or go to prison.
