Earlier, a three-judge bench had issued a statement saying that a decision would be given on December 17 in the sedition case. The Islamabad High Court, while hearing the petitions filed by Musharraf living in Dubai and the Government of Pakistan, barred the special court from delivering the verdict on November 28.

Last week, the special court had asked 76-year-old Musharraf to record his statement in the sedition case on December 5. After that, Musharraf, living in Dubai, issued a message to the supporters, saying that he was very ill and could not come to the country and record the statement.
