Kulmeet Makkar was born and raised in Udaipur. He came to Mumbai to build a career in the entertainment industry and soon became one of the most prolific personalities in the industry. He was a producer and has worked with production houses like Reliance Entertainment and Saregama among others. He had also served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Film & Television Producers Guild. He had also set up a trust to help the low wage artists associated with the industry. OTT Netflix too has pledged $1 Million to this trust. He was close with veterans of the industry and his death shocked everyone as his contribution was immense.
