Karpoori Thakur Age

Karpoori Thakur was born on 24 January 1924 in Pitaunjhia, Bihar and Orissa Province, British India. Thakur was born to Gokul Thakur and Ramdulari Devi in Pitaunjhia (now Karpuri Gram) village in Samastipur District of Bihar, hailed from the Nai (barber) community. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and Satyanarayan Sinha, he became associated with the All India Students Federation. As a dedicated student activist, he abandoned his college education to actively participate in the Quit India Movement. Thakur’s commitment to the cause of Indian independence led to his imprisonment for a period of 26 months.
