Jacques Henry Kallis is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer. Widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time and he is one of the greatest all-rounders ever to play the game, Kallis is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium swing bowler. Kallis stands alone as the sole cricketer in the annals of the sport to achieve the remarkable feat of scoring over 10,000 runs and claiming more than 250 wickets in both One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Test match cricket.

Kallis enjoyed a strong bond with his father, Henry, whom he acknowledged as his primary influence. His sister, Janine Kallis, five years his junior, served as a cheerleader in the 2009 Indian Premier League and currently works as a physiotherapist in East London. When Kallis learned of his father’s terminal cancer diagnosis, he took a break from cricket to be by his father’s side.
