Gupt Navratri Significance

Gupt Navratri is a significant Hindu festival that is celebrated for nine days during the month of Ashada (June-July). This festival is also known as Ashada Navratri. The main focus of this festival is the worship of goddess Durga, who is believed to be particularly powerful during this time. People observe this festival by fasting and performing special rituals and puja.

Gupt Navratri is said to be more powerful than the Sharad Navratri, which is the most popular Navratri festival in India. The exact dates for Gupt Navratri 2023 have not been announced yet. This Navratri is dedicated to the nine forms of goddess Durga, which are Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri.

During the festival, people also perform the Gauri puja and Navratri puja. Some individuals also observe a vrat (fast) during the festival. It is believed that worshiping the goddess during Gupt Navratri can help to remove obstacles and fulfill one’s desires. This Navratri is considered as the hidden Navratri among the four Navratris that are celebrated in a year.
