In 2020, Kangana Ranaut and Diljit’s fight is a hot topic of the town. Kangana Ranaut made comments on Twitter that were critical of the farmers’ protests that were taking place in India at the time. Diljit Dosanjh, who is a strong supporter of the farmers’ protests, responded to her comments with tweets in Punjabi. Kangana responded by calling Diljit a “Karan Johar’s pet” and a “bootlicker.” The feud between the two celebrities continued for several days, with Diljit releasing a song titled “RiRi” in response to Kangana’s comments. The song featured lyrics in Punjabi that were critical of Kangana’s views on the farmers’ protests.
Apart from this controversy, Diljit Dosanjh has also faced criticism in the past for his song lyrics and for appearing in films that have been accused of promoting drug use. However, he has always maintained that his lyrics and roles in films are meant to entertain and do not promote any negative values or behaviors.
