The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the ban for six months on strike by employees working under government, semi-government and any local authority. Last time this ban was imposed on 25th November 2020.
Additional Chief Secretary of Personnel Department Mukul Singhal said in a statement on Thursday that the government has banned the strike for a period of six months, using its powers under the Uttar Pradesh Urgent Services Maintenance Act, 1966.
According to the statement, necessary orders in this regard have been issued on 25th May. Singhal said that any public service related to the activities of the state, any service under the ownership and control of the state government and under any local authority The strike has been prohibited for the employees of the service.
