On March 12, 2023, the “95th Academy Awards” ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) presenting the awards. The awards was hosted by “Ricky Kirshner” and produced by “Ricky Kirshner” and “Glenn Weiss” who is also the director of the event.
As Hollywood’s biggest awards show, the Oscars ceremony originally known as “Academy Awards” brought together the brightest stars from across the globe. The Indian film fraternity also participated in the event as numerous Indian films were nominated. The Academy Awards this year have generated more buzz in India. This is due to the fact that many successful Indian films were nominated in a variety of categories, such as Best Foreign Language Film, Best Documentary Film etc.

It was a big night for India as India won its first Oscar of 2023 with “The Elephant Whisperers” winning Best Documentary Short Film. Later, the team of “RRR” made the country proud when their original song, “Naatu Naatu”, won the Best Music (Original Song) award.
